Weeding, grass-cutting, dead-heading - there’s always something to do with gardens this size. Our full-time team of Gardeners will certainly be glad of the help. You’ll be assigned a particular area, which you’ll maintain to the highest standards. Experience would be useful, but its care and enthusiasm that are important.

Visitors leave us with great memories – and unfortunately, a lot of litter. The Cleansers help us keep the grounds clean and tidy, as part of our rostered team.

If you enjoy working outdoors as part of a team, we can offer you one of the most spectacular working environments around.

These seasonal contracts will run for five months from May to September and you will work from 07.45am - 16.30pm, Monday - Friday. The Cleansers will work a roster which will include working on weekends.

One of the UK's premier rail infrastructure companies requires an experienced Project Manager to work on one of their projects and manage it throughout the delivery phase through to handover phase of the project

Role Description
Within this role you will be responsible for overseeing that the project you will be managing is completed within the time allocated and to a safe standard which meets the clients requirements. You will need to ensure that clients and senior company management are regularly kept up to date with the progress of the project. You will be needed to effectively manage the multidiscipline project teams and be involved in on site recruitment, promotion and motivating of staff. Throughout the project you will be needed to arrange handover and hand back procedures as well as conduct risk assessment and detailed financial reports and health and safety reports.

Required Experience
Previous experience within a signalling project management role is required and the role requires you to be a member of IRSE and preferably have a degree in an electrical engineering discipline. You need to have good interpersonal skills and have show good leadership qualities as well as an ability to work under pressure.

ECHA is responsible for managing, and in some cases carrying out, the technical, scientific and administrative aspects of REACH, and ensuring consistency at Community level in its application. 1. THE JOB

Reporting to the Head of Unit and working as part of the testing team, the IT Testing Coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks, in accordance with the defined testing processes of the Agency:

Coordinating site and user acceptance tests to ensure the completion of testing activities in an efficient and timely manner;
Creating test plans, such as project test plans, UAT plan and other detailed plans as necessary;
Providing regular test reports to project management and other key stakeholders of the Agency’s IT projects;
Working with contractors, reviewing test deliverables, planning and synchronising testing activities;
Utilising tools such as HP Quality Center, JIRA and Confluence, to perform testing activities;
Performing the following ‘hands-on’ testing tasks as necessary:
- Developing test scenarios by analysing requirements, use cases, and specifications;
- Creating and maintaining high-quality test cases for complex IT software applications;
- Executing test cases and documenting test results;
- Defect reporting and verification of fixed defects, in accordance with the defect management processes used in the Agency’s IT projects.
Executing other duties relevant to the job.

2. QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

a) Successful completion of post-secondary level education attested by a diploma in a field relevant to the areas of work listed in section 1.
Post-secondary level education relevant to the areas of work listed in section 1 include as core subjects for example:
Computer science;
Informatics;
Management Information Systems;
Business processes engineering.

Or

b) Successful completion of secondary education giving access to post-secondary education and appropriate professional experience of at least three (3) years.

In addition, you must have a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience attained after the fulfilment of the requirements in a) or b) above, related to the tasks listed in the section 1.

Only qualifications issued by EU Member State authorities or EEA authorities and qualifications recognized as equivalent by the relevant EU or EEA Member State authorities will be accepted.

3. SELECTION

If you meet the formal requirements set out in section 2, you will be assessed on the basis of the following selection criteria. The candidates who are judged to be the most suitable on the basis of the selection criteria will be invited to an interview.

Your academic and professional qualifications and their relevance to the main areas of work listed in section 1;
Your professional experience: the range of fields covered; the type and level of work done and its relevance to the areas of work listed in section 1.

The following will be considered as assets:
Experience in developing stable and re-usable test automation scripts using tools such as HP Quick Test Professional;
Experience in testing software applications used by industry, from the business user perspective;
ISEB/ISTQB certification in software testing;
Professional experience gained in a European Institution/Agency or an international organisation and/or abroad.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to progress their career within a Large Civil Engineering Contractor. My client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong Heavy Civil Engineering background. This can include projects such as Clean/Waste Water , Earthworks, Bridges, Highways etc.

Projects will cover the West of England from Birmingham down to Swindon, so candidates must be flexibility to travel.

The Role:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will report into the Commercial Manager for the allotted project and will be responsible for the following;

• Prompt presentation of all applications for payment
• Ensuring that payments are received
• Preparation of Final Accounts
• Preparation of forward work schedules and cash flows
• Procurement, negotiation and placing of Sub-contract Orders.
• Financial and commercial management of Sub-contractors through to settlement of Final Accounts
• Ensuring that all contractual letters/notices are presented
• Preparation of all appropriate documentation in support of payments, variations and claims etc
• Commercial support to the site and contracts management team
• Commercial leadership & support to the Estimating and Procurement team.

Candidate Profile

Candidates MUST be from a Civil Engineering background with consistent experience working for a Main Civil Engineering Contractor as a Quantity Surveyor.

Must be educated to at least HNC, HND or Degree level.

Drive the establishment of credible bidding competencies within Infrastructure Projects through the development and consistent deployment of effective processes, tools and governance across Infrastructure Projects. Plan, report, coordinate and where required, manage ad-hoc teams in the development of Infrastructure Projects bid submissions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop & implement a robust process for the preparation and submission of bids on behalf of Infrastructure Projects, encompassing informing bid strategy, bid/no bid process, bid initiation, bid preparation, review and sign-off.
• Co-ordinate, monitor & report on regional & national bid opportunities, submissions and achievements.
• Develop, implement & maintain a centralised repository/library for all bidding information including standard template documentations and previous references.
• Lead the sharing & promoting best practice, through tracking achievements, development of appropriate KPI’s/financial targets and review and dissemination of lessons learned.
• Act as lead on major communications with the regions on the development and dissemination of bid process, tools, templates and relevant metrics.
• Track initial time & cost inputs so as to develop appropriate metrics and advise on budgets for PQQ and bid preparation, submission and review.
• Lead on the analysis and identification of future opportunities that are commercially beneficial to the Region, obtain funding to develop opportunities and make detailed recommendations and risk assessments upon these
• Co-ordinate lessons learnt/feedback from previous tender submissions and to work with & advise the regional commercial teams on any strategy or decision making relating to the bid process.
• Define & lead processes, systems and quality standards for the management of bid development market intelligence and market analysis. Monitor & promote adherence to these standards, processes and systems
• Develop market intelligence in appropriate local markets, on which the regional commercial team may bid for work on the uncontested market.
• Represent Infrastructure Projects in face-to-face client bid meetings
• Where required, manage the bid team members to ensure the target for bid submission dates are met efficiently, culminating in production and final bid submission, securing executive approval.
