Reform of Italy’s citizenship law is not part of the mission of the technical government, Prime Minister Mario Monti has said.
In an interview with Matrix TV programme, Mr. Monti said that the issue of reforming citizenship law should be handled by the Parliament.
“This government has limited and very difficult duties of making Italy a better and an attractive place,” Mr. Monti said.
The prime minister added that he had a personal opinion on the citizenship reform but failed to disclose it.
