Can a refugee be regularised?

My worker is a refugee and has the Permit of Stay
18th September 2009: Question:
Can a foreigner living legally in Italy, who has been granted refugee status or subsidiary protection and has a valid Permit of Stay apply to be regularised as a domestic if he/she has an employer willing to do so?

Answer: Yes, such a person can be regularised if he/she has been doing undeclared domestic work. The employer must, however, meet all the required conditions (income, accommodation, medical certificate where applicable, etc) in order to apply for regularisation of the worker.
