Question: Hi! On 27th September 2011 I checked online the status of my application for authorisation to work (nulla osta) and it was indicated that the authorisation to work was ready. It was also appearing that I have an appointment at the Immigrations Office in Rome on 10th October. I’m worried because I’ve not yet received the letter summoning me to go and collect the authorisation to work. What can I do? Thanks.

Question: Hi, I applied for authorisation to work (nulla osta) for a Nigerian domestic worker. We have been to the Immigrations Office at the Prefecture to undersign the Residency contract (contratto di soggiorno) and we were given the application kit to take to the post office to apply for the Permit of Stay for work. I’d like to find out if there a time limit for taking it to the post office and how long it will take before the worker is summoned to the Provincial Police Headquarters for fingerprinting and to submit photos. Thanks.
